Similar in appearance and flavour, Aronia fruits and cranberries are perfect for making sauces, preserves and using in summer puddings. The Aronia berry (see picture above right) is packed full of nutrients and is richer in antioxidants than either the goji or the blueberry. A deciduous, multi-stemmed bush which can grow up to 3m (10ft), aronia also gives a good display in autumn when its foliage fades to reds and crimson. Cranberry
‘Pilgrim’ produces big fruits; its trailing habit is ideal for a container display, for underplanting or for ground cover although it does require an acidic soil to thrive.
Buy one aronia or one cranberry ‘Pilgrim’ for just £9.95 or save £3 when you buy both for just £16.90.
