This exceptionally pretty plum is rarely offered for sale. It has an amazing flavour with a distinct tangerine bite. The peachy-red fruits simply add to its appeal.

Bred by the great Luther Burbank way back in the early 1900s it is still popular today at some specialist pick your own orchards. It’s easy to pollinate and, with a medium and even growth, makes a fine garden tree. It was reputedly a favourite of the Queen Mother and certainly there is a tree at Sandringham.
